HOW TO PORT

Step 1: Visit any office of your recipient network operator.

Step 2: Fill port request form and SMS 0 to recipient network operator.

We have three (3) means of validating SMS 0, which are:

  1. SMS: Texting PORT to 3232
  2. IVR: Dialling 3232 and follow the voice prompt.
  3. Web: Visiting – http://yes.portnigeria.com/

Step 3: The recipient network operator issues you a new sim with your phone number.

Step 4: Once SMS is sent by the subscriber, NPC verifies the SMS validity. Also, the donor network will verify the eligibility of the subscriber to port out and either approve (if eligible) or deny (if ineligible).

Step 5: If eligible, NPC will send an approval response to the recipient network.

Step 6: NPC will also broadcast to all MNOs and also send SMS to the subscriber with the following content

TO: XXXX XXXX XXX
MESSAGE: YOUR NUMBER HAS BEEN PORTED TO THE
RECIPIENT NETWORK AND THE DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED.
